For the full year, the company reaffirmed its cloud revenue outlook in the range of 14 billion-14.2 billion euros. "Our Q3 results demonstrate strong execution and the resilience of our business, including sustained cloud growth in spite of persisting macro headwinds," finance chief Dominik Asam said. U.S.-listed shares of the German software maker were up 2.9% after the bell.

Private equity firms are looking at Statista ahead of a formal sale process, which is likely to kick off later next year, the sources told Reuters. Only once this transaction is finished will a Statista process begin, they added. Asam sits alongside Statista in Stroeer's data-as-a-service and e-commerce division, which it has signalled as non-core to its advertising business. Statista is viewed as non-core because the rest of Stroeer operates out-of-home advertising, online advertising and billboards across Germany. Stroeer acquired a 78.8% majority stake in Statista in December 2015 for around 57 million euros ($61 million).

Barring a rapid breakthrough, the world's largest planemaker may appoint an interim CFO after Asam steps down at the end of the month as previously announced, having presented his last Airbus results on Feb 16, they said. Airbus declined to comment on management appointments. Asam announced his surprise decision to leave the aerospace group last August, when he pledged to "work with the management to ensure a smooth transition with the next Airbus CFO". However, Airbus has so far not publicly identified a new CFO, prompting some analysts to express concern over the lack of certainty regarding the transition. Although Airbus moved on from years of in-fighting and open national rivalries for its top jobs, the passport of the new finance chief will overshadow the search, the sources said.
